2020 Season Wrap-Up: Looking back, and looking ahead.
Looking back, I think it’s safe to say that 2020 certainly won’t go down as one of the best years in the history of the world. What started off as a refreshing start to a new year quickly changed as COVID reared it’s ugly head in late winter.- Bryce Poyer
For Late Fall Action: Diamonds Can't Be Beat
With the fall blitz in full swing as we enter November, anglers are heading to the surf both day and night to battle migrating stripers that, we hope, won’t let up until sometime after Thanksgiving. While many think of late bass explosions as concentrated in the suds, there’s another run of bass a bit further off the beach that sees the linesiders carving through vast schools of sand eels that stay outside the wash- Bryce Poyer
Late Fall Blackfishing
Blackfishing is one of those intangible lines that separate the wanna-bes from the real fishing experts. Learn to catch blackfish consistently and you can learn to catch any other fish in the sea. Show off a couple of bulldogs, as the biggest blackfish are known, and nobody will question your angling ability. The words “luck” and “blackfishing” are rarely used together while “skill” and “blackfishing” are frequently linked.- Bryce Poyer
2020 Fall Inshore Preview
It may have taken an extra week or two to get started, but there’s no doubt the fall blitz is beginning to kick in on Long Island’s East End. Heading toward mid-October, action is rounding into prime from with stripers, bluefish and false albacore chasing lures for anglers fishing from boats or the shore. The bottom game, too, seems ready to explode with plenty of porgies already on tap, sea bass still in play, blackfish moving inshore, plus ling, hake and a few codfish onthe offshore grounds.

"Social Distancing" While Fishing
There’s been a lot of internet chat of late about social distancing through fishing. Some of it is, of course, tongue in cheek, but some of it is serious, too. So, that begs the question: Is it safe to go fishing under the threat of the coronavirus? The simple answer is, “That depends.”- White Water Outfitters Admin
